The Pathfinder

Cynthia Fortier writes epic fantasy rooted in ancient worlds where honor, duty, love, and truth collide. Her stories are shaped by the quiet pull of destiny, the weight of choice, and the belief that even in the darkest moments, something in us still reaches for the light.

Her debut novel, Blackbird Sings, arrives in 2026: the first step into a sweeping multi-book saga that has lived in her imagination for years, a constellation of stories finally finding their way onto the page.

She has been a storyteller her entire life. A writer since fifteen. Only recently did she find the name for what she has always been: a Pathfinder: someone who navigates by intuition, myth, and the stars of her own inner world.

Cynthia makes her home on Prince Edward Island, where the wind, the sea, and the red earth have shaped her sense of place and story. Her son Josh, daughter-in-law Samantha, and grandchildren Meegan, Rhydian, and Sarai share that home with her, along with Molly Rose, an Irish Wolfhound with the heart of a guardian and the gentleness of a companion. They are the people who remind her daily why stories matter, why imagination is inheritance, and why she hasn’t given up.

Hers is a house of storytellers.
